Walk along the De Run ecological corridor

The IVN will be happy to lead you on a walk along the Run. This is a seemingly small stream that flows into the Dommel from the Weebosch in Veldhoven. Yet this stream has great significance for the landscape. An ecological connecting zone (EVC) was created between Zandhoef and Eerdbrand in 2017. Municipalities, farmers and water board succeeded in shaping this together. Meanwhile, it has become a beautiful walking area. Walking along the Run, one can enjoy the many flowers, butterflies, birds and dragonflies. Very worthwhile! We talk about the history of the area, the usefulness and necessity of the EVZ, and the plants and animals it attracts. Attention! This year we start at the Zandhoef (near house number 4). You can see an insect hotel from the road. It is best to park cars a little further down the road next to the tourist cycle path (corner Zandhoef-Zandhoefseweg-Zandhoefsedijk). You are welcome on Sunday morning 17 May at 10am. The walk lasts 2 hours. It will be wet after a rain shower, please bear that in mind!
