On Sunday 31 May 2026, Automobile Club Kempisch Klassiek (AKK) will again organise the

Open Kempenrit. An annual event for classic cars that takes place on and around the Markt in Eersel. Anyone with a car aged 30 years or older can participate.

Car enthusiasts can feast their eyes on the often beautifully restored classic cars and have a chat with the owners who are full of stories about the history and adventures they have had with their vintage cars.

The Automobile Club Kempisch Klassiek is an association of car enthusiasts in the broadest sense of the word. From experienced wrenchers to hobbyists with a socket spanner, from Pietje Precise to French Slag. Together, they enjoy their hobby and help each other move forward. The Open Kempen ride is especially for anyone who wants to get to know the club. Everyone is welcome and equal. Whether you come with an old Fiat or a classic Ferrari.

The ride is not long (max. 60km) and mainly intended to see the whole field in motion. Furthermore, this year the ride also leads over the park of the Donksbergen in Duizel, so that patients can also enjoy the mobile heritage there. The competition on the Markt in Eersel is there to choose the most original combination of car and accompanying participants. It is mainly about the happening, the prizes are just a sideshow.

The day's programme is as follows:

9.30 -11.00 Arrive, set up cars, register and catch up.

11.00 Welcome and start of the ride

13.00 Back from the ride and set up cars

13.00-14.30 Lunch on the Market Square

14.00 Music and competition

15.30 Award ceremony and closing words

16.30 Closing

Participants pay €25 per person when registering at the Markt in Eersel. For that, they get coffee or tea with some sweets, the route book and a lunch in one of the restaurants on the Markt listed on the lunch voucher.

Registration is possible, preferably by email to joannes.collette@outlook.com or possibly on the day itself.

You can also call 06 - 17 23 61 95.
