Stolpersteine & Sisters Schijndel
Stolpersteine: Ilse Brüll, a young Jewish girl from Innsbruck, initially found shelter in the St Jacobus Monastery. In August 1942, she was rounded up and deported via Westerbork to Auschwitz, where she was murdered in September. A tripstone commemorates her tragic fate.
Sisters Schijndel: The Sisters of Schijndel arrived in Eersel in 1902. During the war, they provided shelter to refugees, people in hiding and pilots. Their social contribution to Eersel is invaluable.
