The 31-kilometre-long Witrijtroute is located southeast of the municipality of Eersel. The route runs through the Witrijt forest area and around the nature reserve De Goorloop. Peat formation has taken place in the Goorloop stream valley from the Ice Age to the present day. The relief in the ground here was created by braiding streams. This means you have to expect very bumpy paths.
