The annual cheers festival will descend for the twelfth time on 6 September in the beautiful brewery-garden of Beerze, in Vessem.

The Proostfeest is a fine dining and family festival focusing on live music, special beer, BBQ and good company.

Back to the core

Brewer and owner Ivo Kaanen looks ahead: "We are going back to the core: a warm, casual family celebration for young and old. Beerze beers take centre stage, but above all it's all about toasting together with our Beerze family." Like previous years, visitors can look forward to a wide range of beers, lots of toasts and an atmospheric musical programme.

From Americana to Jazz

This year, music also plays a leading role. The acoustic Blues & Rock (cover) band Ten Eleven from the Den Bosch region will provide the right atmosphere in the afternoon. Local artist Birgit Bolte will also make her appearance. The artist from Hoogeloon makes soulful pop with jazzy influences, characterised by a warm voice, personal lyrics and a touch of blues. The rest of the musical programme remains a surprise.

'Specially brewed for the Proostfeest'

Brewer Herm Kaanen developed a surprising Amber Ale especially for this edition. "With autumn just around the corner, we wanted to create a beer that is both refreshing and has character. This Amber Ale is perfectly balanced," Ivo added: "An absolute must-taste during the party." But the inner man should not be forgotten either! The culinary part is in trusted hands of MOUT & HOUT, Walter & Neline Dijkstra-Kaanen's restaurant. Having started in July 2023, the barbecue restaurant has been rewarded with a mention in the Michelin Guide. They will spoil the inner man with their delicacies - festival-style, of course.
