Outside; The Markt and Het Hint together form the historical core of Eersel. 5 of the 6 villages in the municipality belong to the Eight Beatitudes. These are 8 villages whose names end in '-sel'. The name zaligheden is derived from the name 'selligheden'. Within the municipality of Eersel, there is a wealth of natural beauty: woodland and heathland with fens abound.

Art Route The Green Ribbon is a land-art artwork that connects the centre of Eersel with the centre of Eindhoven via a 24-km long art trail. A green ribbon of natural elements in the form of braided hedges, providing a guide along which the walker follows his walk.
