The grain & oil mill of Vessùm - A mill was a must in the agricultural Vessem of the time, it was necessary for grinding grain for bread and fodder.
The Jacobusmolen
The original mill unfortunately burned down in 1893, after which the current Jacobusmolen was rebuilt. This round stone mountain corn mill consists of round stones and a mill mountain. With a 'flight' of 28 metres, it is the second largest mill in the province of North Brabant and also the largest corn mill in the Netherlands!

Fons also found that too many items (household goods, books, clothes) were being thrown away. He found volunteers willing to help him as well as a usable farm. De Jacobushoeve with recycling shop, garden, workshops and wereldwinkel was a fact.
