De Contente Mens! In the heart of Eersel, on the market square near the Mariakapel, stands a bronze statue symbolising Brabant conviviality: De Contente Mens. Made by Richard Bertels around 1957, this figurine depicts a typical Kempen farmer, content with life and the simple things.
