Dickens Festival Wintelre

Through a large gate with gatekeepers, you enter a world 150 years back. A world as Charles Dickens lived it. In streets and squares, you will encounter many characters from the Dickens stories, such as David Copperfield the protagonist of the book of the same name. Walking through the Dickensian-inspired streets, you will meet Scrooge, the unfriendly miser, Fagin's gang, beggars, quacks, a funeral procession, a real constable, women demonstrating for the right to vote, ladies of easy virtue, children reeling and playing marbles, a chimney sweeper, a shoeshine man, a school class and more.

The musical Dickensian atmosphere comes from the various choirs and musical groups.
