The Saint Monulphus and Gondulphus Church, together with the presbytery and De Leenhoef, forms the historical heart of Knegsel. The characteristic church was built in 1926 to a design by architect H.W. Valk and was inspired by traditional Kempen village churches. No church services have taken place since January 2024, but the monument will be preserved for the village. The plans are to give the church a new social function as a meeting place for residents. The old presbytery and surrounding garden will also be given a new use, with space for a village hall room, greenery and housing in the atmosphere of a beguinage. In this way, this special place will continue to be the beating heart of Knegsel in the future.
