Pilgrims' Trail Middelbeers - Steensel

From Middelbeers, you walk on the sandy soil of the Kempen region to the Landschotse Heide, a protected nature reserve where large and small fens alternate with forests and heathlands. Following Pelgrim Trail 1, the route runs from Den Bosch with its St. Jan Cathedral via Eindhoven to Limburg. Besides the beauty of the Brabant and Limburg landscapes, the route with its field crosses and chapels also reflects something of the Catholic folk faith in past centuries.
